Position Overview:
Radiology is one of the most frequently used healthcare services, yet the process for accessing imaging exams has remained outdated for decades. This role supports a solution that modernizes imaging access through a concierge approach and a nationwide network of premium-quality radiology providers. The goal is to help patients and families access essential radiology services with fair pricing, no surprise bills, and a significantly improved experience.
As a Virtual Medical Manager/Care Navigator, you will guide patients through the full imaging journey—from account registration to exam completion. This position plays a key role in ensuring patients receive timely, empathetic, and high-quality support. You will collaborate with internal teams such as Member Services, Operations, and Technology to deliver a seamless experience.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Patient Support
Act as the primary point of contact for patients, supporting them with:- Account registration and setup
- Imaging order management
- Prior authorization assistance
- Appointment scheduling and payments
- Exam preparation guidance
- Report collection and delivery
- Escalating issues as needed
- Proactive Case Management
- Manage a patient queue to ensure timely appointments and follow-ups.
- Scheduling Coordination
- Match patients with appropriate imaging providers based on availability and needs.
- Patient Communication
- Deliver outstanding support through phone, email, and SMS with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in care navigation, scheduling, or patient-facing support, preferably in radiology or healthcare.
- 2+ years of experience coordinating care across providers.
- 1+ year handling or assisting with prior authorizations.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Proven success in a fast-paced, phone-based service environment.
- Detail-oriented, with strong time management and organizational skills.
